Ken Berwitz

This short blog is for anyone who actually believes President Obama is serious about job creation (other than government jobs which pay union dues that wind up as donations to Democrat candidates, that is).

Did you know that yesterday marked one full year since Mr. Obama met with his own Jobs Council?

That's right.  One full year.  The last time he showed up at a meeting was January 17, 2012.

You can read all about it in Josh Gerstein's illumating blog at   Then, just for fun, try finding a thing about it in our wonderful "neutral" mainstream media.  I dare you.

Simply stated, the job of most mainstream media is to protect their lord and savior, Barack Obama.  And they are not going to damage his stellar image with trifling little facts like this one.

But Josh Gerstein - to his credit - will do just that.  Me too.

Maybe someday they will remember they are supposed to be journalists, and start reporting the negative news about our Presiden......hey, I think I just said that, someday, a Republican is going to win the White House again.

Fabio I don't think I can adequately exrpess how jealous I am right now. Because! Richard Simmons!I'm not surprised to hear that he's a pro at everything from posing pictures to getting people to say silly things in the middle of class he's been doing this for ages. What I do admire is that it never seems to come off as calculated he seems so genuine. But can I ask WHY you didn't go to the motivational seminar? OMG, I would have been all up in that.P.S. Pink Richard Simmons towels make nice book release day gifts. I'm just saying.P.P.S. Thanks for the plug! To RICHARD SIMMONS! (01/26/13)

Ken Berwitz is a so-called "fact-checking" arm of the (decidedly leftward) Tampa Bay Times.  Like its counterparts (run by the Annenberg Foundation, employer of domestic terrorist william ayers and then-"community organizer" Barack Obama), Fact-Checker (run by liberal Democrat Washington Post writer Glen Kessler), PolitiFact is about as unbiased as a DNC convention.

With that in mind, I would like to remind you - in its own words - of what PolitiFact's "Lie of the year" was for 2012:

It was a lie told in the critical state of Ohio in the final days of a close campaign -- that Jeep was moving its U.S. production to China. It originated with a conservative blogger, who twisted an accurate news story into a falsehood. Then it picked up steam when the Drudge Report ran with it. Even though Jeep's parent company gave a quick and clear denial, Mitt Romney repeated it and his campaign turned it into a TV ad.

And they stood by the claim, even as the media and the public expressed collective outrage against something so obviously false.

People often say that politicians dont pay a price for deception, but this time was different: A flood of negative press coverage rained down on the Romney campaign, and he failed to turn the tide in Ohio, the most important state in the presidential election.

PolitiFact has selected Romney's claim that Barack Obama "sold Chrysler to Italians who are going to build Jeeps in China" at the cost of American jobs as the 2012 Lie of the Year.

That's pretty damning, isn't it?

Well, ok.  But now read this, from yesterday's article published by Reuters, and see if you still feel that way:

Fiat (FIA.MI) and its U.S. unit Chrysler expect to roll out at least 100,000 Jeeps in China when production starts in 2014 as they seek to catch up with rivals in the world's biggest car market.

Output could double, the Italian carmaker's Chief Executive Sergio Marchionne, without giving a precise timeframe.

Chrysler, in which Fiat has a 58.5 percent stake, said on Tuesday it had agreed to make Jeeps in China with Guangzhou Automobile Group (601238.SS).

"We expect production of around 100,000 Jeeps per year which is expandable to 200,000," Marchionne, who is also CEO of Chrysler, said on the sidelines of a conference, adding production could start in 18 months.

And, as of one minute ago, no retraction by PolitiFact.

I will not end this blog by posting what should be concluded from this information.  You either already know, or are immune to knowing.

I hope for your sake it is choice #1.

Did you know that adam lanza was a Jew, most of the 20 children he killed were Jews, and that if you don't know it, the reason is that the Zionist-controlled press is withholding it from you?

Well, if you are an Iranian, all of this has been known for an entire month.

Here, courtesy of, are excerpts from an article published December 19th at, a web site of Iran's regime.

"The Common Roots of the Palestine and Sandy Hook Crimes"

"The Point... Not Reported By The Media Networks, Which Are Controlled By Zionism In America... Is That Adam Lanza Was A Jew"

"Last Friday, December 14, Adam Lanza, the notorious American murderer, murdered 27 [sic, actually 26] at a school in Newtown, Connecticut, U.S., using a military machine gun. That day, and the next, this news item grabbed the headlines inside and outside America - and indeed, the emotional shock that it caused due to the murder of children in a cultural setting was great and angered all.

"But the point that was not reported by the media networks, which are controlled by Zionism in America, or by the media in our country [Iran], which is for the most part a consumer [of those networks]- is that Adam Lanza was a Jew, and grew up in a Jewish family and in a Jewish environment.

According to most of the popular websites in America that receive no favors from the Jewish lobby, such as Firstpost and some of the [Occupy] Wall Street movement websites, Adam Lanza was a Jew.

"Another point is that the Zionist media did not reveal [other] dimensions of the incident. They published a photo of Lanza as a boy, to show his innocence - but the 20-year-old Lanza had an aggressive expression on his face.

"A Jewish Murderer Attacked Coreligionists, Slaughtering Them... No American Media Network Had The Guts To Report This"

"Adam Lanza too was an Ashkenazi Jew who hated others, but no one could have identified this disease because he spoke like other people, and was aware of the world around him, like others. But in his heart he nursed hatred, [which exploded] on Friday in America, for all to see.

"And, of course, the victims in this incident were also mostly Jews. According to a French news agency report, the murdered children were buried Tuesday in a Jewish ceremony. That is, in this horrific incident, a Jewish murderer attacked coreligionists, slaughtering them in a terrible fashion.

"No American media network had the guts to report this point."

If you have the stomach for it, click here to read the entire article, a second equally, er, "factual" article published along with it, and assorted other bullsh er, stuff which came along for the ride.

Then I would ask you to reflect on the fact that this kind of  made-up propaganda is what not only the Iranian people, but the people in most countries of the world, are fed every day of the year.

And the "knowledge" they get from it is what informs their opinions of people and of countries.

If that doesn't scare you, nothing will.

Ben Shapiro, who made absolute mincemeat of the arrogant, pompous know-it-all Piers Morgan on Morgan's CNN show last week, has written the single best column about the Sandy Hook massacre I have seen so far.

Mr. Shapiro exposes the crocodile-tear concern of leftists, as they exploit the dead bodies of Sandy Hook victims to push their gun-control agenda forward, so clearly, so convincingly, that (maybe this is just a wistful little fantasy) even some of the self-righteous NRA haters might be forced to consider the possibility that going after their bogeyman of choice will not protect our children from the adam lanzas out there.

Here are a few excerpts....but please read them only if you promise to click on the link I've provided and read all the rest as well.  Mr. Shapiro's message is that important:

...all the left's got on issues ranging from gun control to the debt ceiling (is) appeals to emotion and to the supposed moral shortcomings of their opposition. It's not just Piers Morgan doing this. It's President Obama, who held a press conference on gun control flanked by small children who had written him letters about violence using guns, then trotted out the grief-stricken parents of one of the children who murdered at Sandy Hook. "[M]ost of all," Obama intoned, " I think about how when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable among us, we must act now, for Grace, for the 25 other innocent children and devoted educators who had so much left to give; for the men and women in big cities and small towns who fall victims to senseless violence each and every day; for all the Americans who are counting on us to keep them safe from harm."

Obama's implication is clear: disagree with him, and you are fine with what happened in Sandy Hook.

That's....daytime talk show material, not honest political discussion about how to solve the problem of murder by guns in the United States. Not one of the solutions Obama proposes would have stopped what happened in Sandy Hook. Adam Lanza would have passed a background check. Lanza was armed with two handguns, not just an AR-15. Limiting the number of rounds per magazine accomplishes nothing, since it takes less than three seconds for a relative amateur to change magazines.

...this isn't about preventing another Sandy Hook for the left. It is about political posturing. If the left really wanted to be true to its own philosophy, it would simply attempt to repeal the Second Amendment and go for a total British-style gun ban. The vast majority of murders committed with guns in the United States are committed with handguns. Yet the left insists that it wants to leave private handgun ownership in place, while targeting so-called "assault rifles." That's not an attempt at a solution, even from the left. It's just preening for the cameras while pointing to the bodies of shooting victims.

I could not have said it better -- which is why I didn't try, I just let Mr. Shapiro do the talking.

Please keep in mind that nothing Ben Shapiro, or I, have said stands as support for the NRA's agenda (some of which I do support and some of which I very much do not).

What it does do is point out that screaming for the NRA's head on a silver platter while demanding more laws which, by definition, cannot stop people who ignore gun laws, does not address this scourge.  Such actions (make that inactions) are a cynical slap in the face to every victim of Sandy Hook, and to every future victim of gun violence.

Zeke .... ... @ free` - - - Yah, but free enterprise has a solution for that: .... you can get an AR-15 with a 'Bullet Button' ... still need a 'tool', but you can grab a loose round, and use the nose of the bullet to depress the mag release. There are also magnetic variations .... to allow you to be in compliance, but still change magazines quickly. .... War on Guns, War on Drugs, War on Drunk Driving, War on Poverty, War on Terrorism ...... (01/18/13)

Zeke .... Emotional ? ... Emotional ? ...... Total Gun Deaths, and Rifle Deaths have DECLINED since the end of the 10 yr (1994-Sept 2004) Assault Rifle Ban : .... ....... [2005] -- 10,158 / 445 .......[2008] -- 9,484 / 375 .......... [2009] -- 9,203 / 352 ...... ................ Rifle Deaths were 28% HIGHER after 10 yrs of Ban than 4 years later. ... .... ..... Source: ............... ....................... Total Rifle Deaths are as detailed as this source gets. ..... The stats are from FBI Uniform Crime Reporting Program. ..... ...... ... (01/18/13)

free` "...since it takes less than three seconds for a relative amateur to change magazines." ------------ Don't be surprised that along with the limited magazines they also remove the mag release button. That is what they did here in California when they limited mag size to 10 rds. So it takes much longer to swap mags, you need to use a tool and find the hole it goes in, then it will release the magazine. So if by then you haven't dispatched the intruders you are as good as dead. (01/18/13)

Today's quote comes from Egyptian President mohamed morsi - that nice fellow who Barack Obama was so instrumental in making President of Egypt.

It comes from a speech he made a touch more than two years ago...while Obama & Co. were hot and heavy into deposing Hosni Mubarak because they figured the well-bred, well-fed, English-speaking protesters in Tahrir Square would replace him.

Here, as translated by the invaluable web site, is what morsi said:

"One American president after another - and most recently, that Obama - talks about American guarantees for the safety of the Zionists in Palestine. [Obama] was very clear when he uttered his empty words on the land of Egypt. He uttered many lies, of which he couldnt have fulfilled a single word, even if he were sincere - which he is not.

"...Dear brothers, we must not forget to nurse our children and grandchildren on hatred towards those Zionists and Jews, and all those who support them. They must be nursed on hatred. The hatred must continue."

Does that warm the cockles of your heart?  Make you happy and proud our vaunted leader was so instrumental in creating the conditions which allowed morsi to become Egypt's head of state?

As you may remember, when similarly Israel-hating, Jew-hating vomit from morsi was unearthed a few days ago, morsi told us his comments were taken out of context (unaccountably, he neglected to provide the acceptable context of calling Jews the descendants of apes and pigs).

Is are these comments out of context too?

But do not despair.  There is one silver lining in this otherwise dark cloud:  that morsi also directly insulted President Obama, saying his words were empty and calling him a liar.

I doubt morsi's Jew-hatred will move Barack Obama to speak up about morsi, not even one iota.  But, given the combination of his monumental ego and paper-thin skin, maybe morsi's personal insults will do the trick.....

This one is for the poll lovers in the house.

On December 14th, adam lanza killed his mother, 26 children and educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, and then took his own life.  Immediately, there was a tidal wave of attacks on the National Rifle Association.

As those attacks reached fever pitch, Gallup conducted its latest survey of attitudes toward the NRA (December 19 - 22).  Here are the results:

What is your overall opinion of the National Rifle Association, also known as the NRA?

As you can see, the latest data show the NRA at 54% positive, 38% negative.

So how does that stack up against the President of the United States and congress?

Gallup shows President Obama's latest approval rating - shortly after his re-election win and during a time in which media have little but good things to say about him - at 50% positive, 43% negative.

And Gallup shows Congress's latest approval rating  at 14% positive, 81% negative.

Maybe these data tell you something and maybe they do not.  Your call.
