Rep. Darrell Issa, Chairman of the Committee of Oversight and Government Reform, and Senator Chuck Grassley, Ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, have had enough of the stonewalling and general obfuscation regarding the Operation Fast and Furious (F&F) scandal, also known as Project Gunrunner and Project Gunwalker.

They have sent this letter to FBI Director Robert Mueller, demanding answers, and demanding the key documents the Obama administration appear intent on withholding from their investigation.  I urge you in strongest terms to use that link and read it.

Now a few questions:

-Why do you suppose the Obama administration is withholding these documents?

-What do you suppose the disgraceful toady and Obama sock-puppet of an Attorney General, eric holder, has to hide?

-Why do you think holder overtly lied to investigators when he claimed not knowing about Operation Fast and Furious until a few weeks before his testimony in May, 201l?  Do you buy his explanation that he didn't know about the five memos specirfically detailing how F&F was going that he received in July of 2010?  Do you believe that he forgot that he bragged about assigning 100 law enforcement agents to this operation during a conference in Cuernavaca, Mexico on April 2, 2009?

If you believe holder, you must conclude he is an impossibly incompetent idiot.

If you do not believe holder, you must conclude that he is a liar, covering up his incompetent idiocy.

Help me out here;  which of these two is the good one?

And is there any doubt that holder's boss, President Obama was briefed on, and ok'ed, an operation of this magnitude?  When do we get the truth from him?

The Operation Fast and Furious scandal is not going away.  But how I wish the people who gave it the go-ahead would.  As soon as possible.

Zeke ..... ..... ..... That letter to the FBI director is very serious. .... ..... I see it as a Constitutional confrontation ... and Congress can defund Executive departments. .... ..... IIRC, it was Teddy Roosevelt who ordered simplified spelling (thru, tho ....) on Government documents. .... Congress objected, and withheld funds for White House stationary; he relented. ..... .... Orders of magnitude more serious, Fast & Furious is subject to the same Power of the Purse -- as intended by the framers of the Constitution. (10/23/11)

Here is a 2 1/2 minute comparison of the Tea Party and "Occupy Wall Street" protesters, put together by  Take a look and see how you think each group makes out - and how President Obama makes out when he equates the two:

Do you think this might find its way into next year's presidential campaign?....
