RACING AGAINST TIME

Ken Berwitz

I have to drive from a point well inside New Jersey to eastern Queens this morning, and then back -- before the blizzard hits (a blizzard I currently have no one to plow us out of, since we found out just yesterday that the snow removal people we have used for years are  out of busineess).

If/when I get back in one piece, I'll do some blogging later today.....

=================================================================

UPDATE:  Well, I did get back during the afternoon -- and just in the nick of time, too.

It is now about 8:00PM and we appear to have in the neighborhood of  10 - 12 inches of snow, with the skies still pouring it out heavily.  I would bet on a minimum of 15 inches before this is over, with the possibility of appreciably more.

ED SCHULTZ CHANNELING KEITH OLBERMANN

Ken Berwitz

Evidently keith olbermann, the pride of MSNBC (which tells you plenty about MSNBC) is some kind of hero to ed schultz.  I come to that conclusion because, based on a couple of verbatim comments schultz made this week, which I saw in Jack Coleman's blog at newsbusters.org, he is refusing to have guests with points of view to the right of his (which is to say about 99% of the country).

On Monday's radio broadcast, schultz said:

You do not see Republican senators on "The Ed Show" on MSNBC. I don't want 'em! I don't want 'em and I'm getting sick of righties on my show anyway. I'm getting sick, I mean, we might have 2011, there might not be any freakin' righties. I'm sick of 'em! (Want the audio?  Just click here)

On Tuesday, just one day later, schultz tried to blame the guests instead of himself - a complete contradiction of what he had said the day before.  But, as you can see below, that lasted for all of one sentence and he was right back on message:

Of course, I don't put right-wing people on that are of any significance. (laughs) Um, 'cause they won't come on the program. And I don't want to talk to 'em anyway.  (listen to the audio by  (clicking here).

What a class act.  Keep your audience ignorant and own 'em.

How proud MSNBC must be of ed schultz and his bosom buddy olbermann.  What credibility they bring to the network!!

The funniest part is that these two sarcastically attack Fox News Channel for claiming to be "fair and balanced".  Fox News Channel is more "fair and balanced" in an average week than these two are in an average year.  With room to spare.

free` That is all the left can do, attack. They don't care about facts, it is attack attack attack. Look what they have done to people like George Bush, Sarah Palin, The Tea Party and hell even Joe the Plumber. Etc. (12/26/10)

Zeke .... ..... what free` said ....... Words have no meaning to Leftists. .... .... ..... They will insist on their fantasy, and ignore all facts ---- deficit spending, Good; paying back that debt, Unimportant ---- Dream Act (Illegal Amnesty), Good; Balkanization Unimportant ----- Global Warming, True; Lack of any Proof, Unimportant ---- Paying off Teachers Unions, Good; Falling test results, Unimportant ---- (12/27/10)

THE OBNOXIOUS GEICO GUY

Ken Berwitz

A quick question:

Does that guy in the Geico commercials who gives you the "attitude" look and asks:  "Does Geico really save you 15% on car insurance?  Does a (you can fill in about a dozen endings to the question)?"  annoy you as much as he annoys me?

I put the TV on mute every time I see him.

Ok, back to politics.

free` I have a DVR so I rarely watch commercials. (12/27/10)

BOBW THANK THE INVENTOR OF PUSH BUTTONS AND REMOTRE CONTROL- I TURN OFF EVERY GEICO AD- AND I MAY ADD THAT I WILL NEVER BUY GEICO INSURANCE-PERIOD- CASE CLOSED THEY SUCK YOU IN AND SAVE YOU NOTHING- THE ONLY THING THAT IS AS REMOTELY OBNOXIOUS IS WHOPPIE GOLDBERGS STUPID MOUTH AND UGLY DREADLOCKS (12/27/10)

Zeke ..... ...... .... You heard it here first ...... .... Keith Olberman will be doing GEICO commercials just for Ken. ..... .... (12/26/10)
