One of the lamer of Barack Obama's explanations for his close ties to radical leftist terrorist william ayers has been that when ayers and his pals were bombing US targets it was 40 years ago and "I was only 8 years old".  The implication appears to be that ayers is a diffeent man now, who has long since moved from his USA hating stance.

Well here's a picture of ayers' stance from 2001 (you may remember a certain major event of that year).  It comes to us from Charles Johnson of  See if you think Mr. Obama's explanation still holds water.  And by all means click on its link and read what ayers had to say at that time:

Obama's Employer Desecrated Flag

Mon, May 5, 2008 at 8:31:14 am PST

Heres a photo of former Weather Underground terrorist (and friend of Barack Obama) William Ayers in 2001 (when Obama was much older than 8), proudly stepping on a United States flag. The full article on Ayers deeply held radical ideas is here: No Regrets.

Point of order.  This picture was taken after Obama's political career was launched at ayers' house.  It was taken after Obama had spent 3-4 years working with ayers on the Annenberg Challenge, through which the two of them distributed something between 50 and 100 million dollars in grants.

This is the same william ayers that Barack Obama told us he barely knew, ayers was just a guy from the neighborhood.

Folks, there is a reason that Barack Obama lied to our faces about his involvement with william ayers, clearly hoping that this information would not come out during the presidential campaign.

Let's say it plain:  Barack Obama lied about being closely allied to an unrepentant domestic terrorist who not only has never renounced his hatred for the USA, but works within the system to radicalize teachers and, presumably, students to his USA hating beliefs.

Do you have a problem with this?  If not, then Barack Obama's your guy and you can have him.  But if you do, then think about someone with this mindset in the oval office --- and hold that thought until election day.

Ok, ok, this just may not be a real photograph.  But since Joe Biden assured us on Thursday that he "spends a lot of time" in Home Depot, you never know:

Those Scranton-born guys.  Always looking for another way to turn a buck....

This comes to us from my bizarre, yet strangely entertaining friend Russ, who holds up the fort (that is, he keeps up his end of things rather than actually stealing from a military installation) in California:

Investment tips for 2008:  With all the turmoil in the market today and the collapse of Lehman Bros and Acquisition of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America this might be some good advice.  For all of you with any money left, be aware of the next expected mergers so that you can get in on the ground floor and make some BIG bucks.

Watch for these consolidations in later this year:

1.) Hale Business Systems, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Fuller Brush, and W R. Grace Co. Will merge and become:
Hale, Mary, Fuller, Grace.

2.) Polygram Records, Warner Bros., and Zesta Crackers join forces and become:
Poly, Warner Cracker.

3.) 3M will merge with Goodyear and become:

4. Zippo Manufacturing, Audi Motors, Dofasco, and Dakota Mining will merge and become:
ZipAudiDoDa .

5. FedEx is expected to join its competitor, UPS, and become:

6. Fairchild Electronic s and Honeywell Computers will become:
Fairwell Honeychild.

7. Grey Poupon and Docker Pants are expected to become:

8. Knotts Berry Farm and the National Organization of Women will become:
Knott NOW!

 And finally...

9. Victoria's Secret and Smith &Wesson will merge under the new name:

I certainly hope Mr. Obama and Mr. McCain address this important issue during their town hall debate on Tuesday!!

That is the title of John Hinderaker's blog about how John McCain will now, and for the rest of his campaign (I hope), directly attacking Barack Obama for who he is and what his associations are:

No More Mr. Nice Guy

The McCain camp says it is going to get tough on Barack Obama during the last month of the campaign. Well, I certainly hope so: if they've been waiting for someone else to do it--reporters, say--that hasn't worked out so well. Realistically, the only ones who can bring public attention to Obama's weaknesses are John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Which is why Palin told a group in Colorado today that Obama doesn't view America the same way they do:

Our opponent, though, is someone who sees America it seems as being so imperfect, imperfect enough that he's palling around with terrorists who would rather target their own country. Americans need to know this. ... We gotta start telling people what the other side represents.

That is, I think, a harsh but fair assessment. You can see the Fox News report here.

The Associated Press ran interference for Obama, as usual:

Obama, who was a child when the group was active, has denounced Ayers' radical views and activities.

While it is known that Obama and Ayers live in the same Chicago neighborhood, served on a charity board together and had a fleeting political connection, it's a stretch of any reading of the public record to say the pair ever palled around. And it's simply wrong to suggest that they were associated while Ayers was committing terrorist acts.

Those aren't facts, those are the Obama campaign's talking points. But no one is going to hear anything else unless McCain and Palin start taking their message straight to the American people.

I don't know if this new strategy is the result of a rethinking process or was always intended for the last month of the campaign.  Either way, it is an imperative - without doing this Mr. McCain will almost certainly lose the election.
Please note that the Associated Press, as they are ongoingly wont to do, has written this article in a way that attempts to protect Mr. Obama from the McCain charges.  Don't hold your breath ever waiting for the AP or other major media venues to do the same for John McCain.
Life is so much easier when the referee is on your side.....

free I see the AP is now calling Palin a racist for what she said. This makes me sick. You can’t say anything negative about Obama or even point out the scum he has been connected to his entire career without being labeled a racist. The MSM and especially the AP are out of control and their isn’t a damned thing anyone can do about it. The 1st Amendment doesn’t give me the right to commit fraud, I wish it could stop the media from committing it. (10/05/08)
